Morse-code input & display
MorseBot was a ShellHacks 2024 submission combining mechanical packaging, a custom PCB, and Arduino software. Press duration is interpreted as dots and dashes, then decoded into letters for the display.
My portfolio contribution spans SolidWorks enclosure design, KiCad board design, and Arduino integration.
Battery-door mechanism
The battery door pivots on a metal rod. A flexible feature deflects during closing, and a tab retains the door in its closed position. The annotated CAD and physical prototype show how the intended mechanism translated into a fabricated part.
PCB & enclosure integration
The project record includes the KiCad layout, fabricated PCB, and assembled enclosure. Arduino C++ code maps dot/dash sequences to letters and drives the display.
Assembled prototype
The result is a working demonstrator of mechanical, electrical, and software integration. The project is presented as a hackathon prototype; no production qualification or latch cycle-life result is claimed.
