About Me

I am a Mechanical Engineering student with a minor in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida. Since childhood, I have been captivated by high-quality product and machine design and what makes them "smart." Today, I focus on applying my mechanical skillset - along with electrical and programming skills - to create comprehensive engineering projects that embody the very complexity that has always intrigued me.

With over six years of experience modeling and fabricating parts, I have gained multiple certifications and practical knowledge through various hands-on projects and roles. My research with the WEAR Lab has allowed me to directly apply my CAD skills in rapid prototyping and working with integrated assemblies. My most recent internship at Universal Creative further cultivated skills in tolerance analysis, FMEA, and project management. Additionally, my coursework has equipped me with the ability to leverage principles such as material science to design compliant mechanisms, as well as develop skills in GD&T and tools like MATLAB and ANSYS.

I am eager to continue developing my technical abilities in industries like product design, aerospace, themed entertainment, and others, contributing to work that push the boundries of engineering and innovation.

Demonstration of project

OneWorld MATLAB Integration

• Collaborated with a team to integrate map API into a mobile app using React Native to demo a global charity finder for submission for the Shellhacks 2023 hackathon.

• Used MATLAB to work on a feature that would confirm input coordinates by plotting them on a Mercator projection.

Great Naval Orange Boat Race

• Collaborated with a team to create an automated trimaran replica; modeling & shaping in Solidworks, as well as wiring the motors, batteries, and switches in parallel.

• The model successfully transported cargo (.4 kg) across the pond at a cost less than 30% of the max budget.

Prototype to final trimaran assembly

LED Acrylic Sign

• Vectorized a hand-drawn image I made into a 2-D Drawing DXF in Solidworks and completed laser engraving piece of acrylic.

• The base was accordingly hand-routed, sawed and sanded finish and fitted with soldered LED bar and wiring.

Aerodynamic Car Project

• Collaborated with a team to manufacture a car model with the most aerodynamic design as possible under set dimension constraints.

• Successfully reduced the force of drag by 38% in SolidWorks fluid flow simulation by using optimal geometry adjustments.

Drag reduction and flow visualization

Multi-device Charging Station

• Fabricated a charging station with over 3 tolerance fits, 2 compliant mechanisms, and an array of embedded magnets.

• Created extensible design table for 10+ configurations, conducting FEA and thermal analysis to ensure functionality.
